Oil Disaster Response #23

Zip-it by Elizabeth Rhoads Read of Cedar Rapids, IA.
"We are all responsible for the Gulf oil disaster. We demand products that we use everyday that contain some petroleum component. The piece "Zip-it" uses caution tape (petroleum based) woven as to show our entanglement with the oil industry. The zipper was used as in the expression - zip-it - meaning close your mouth - I don't want to hear any more - trying to ignore. We are as much the problem as the oil industry."
