Inspiration

I can't speak for the whole Foster Collective on this point, but I found my inspiration for starting our group in speeches and panel discussions at the College Art Association 2010 Conference in Chicago. Particularly, Dawoud Bey's keynote address and panel discussions, which included the Bad at Sports guys, Michelle Grabner of the Suburban, Mess Hall, and JEMA.
